World Premiere of Iman Habibi’s Amesha Spenta

We are pleased to be joining the musicians of the Ann Arbor Camerata on Sunday to perform the world premiere of a new piece written for piano duo and orchestra by Iman Habibi. Entitled Amesha Spenta, the piece is the account of a struggle between various Zoroastrian deities. Iman Habibi wrote Amesha Spenta in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Composition at The University of Michigan.

Victor Huls will be conducting Ann Arbor Camerata for this performance. We will also be joining conductor Jotaro Nakano to perform Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals.
